All systems cultivate fear and encourage silence among its members. This cannot be found in their vision statements or goals or charters. Even though systems or organizations mean well, this cultivation of fear and the encouragement of silence predominates the system’s relationship with its members. It is not intentional or calculated.

When it comes to that you have something like fascism. It is very difficult to expose the problems in a system. It is considered betrayal.

And to betray a system results in bad repercussions… even losing your job. You will pay a serious price for challenging, questioning or blowing the whistle on the system you are a member of. This is why it is so difficult to get whistle-blowers. It might cost them their lives… financially or maybe even physically.
