Some troll gave me the “shareholders are people, too” line trying to defend corporate greed by aligning individuals with massive financial firms. When the unregulated derivatives markets have 20 times the global stock market valuation, and they constantly bet against you, you have to realize what side of the deal you’re on.
Since the low of early March 2009, the capitalization of global equity markets has more than doubled, rising by $29 trillion.
Does your 401K feel like a part of that $29 trillion recovery?
