Would Bush have been able to give his tax cuts had he not inherited Clinton’s economy?

Democrats did a good job during the Clinton years to get the economy on the right track, including creating a budget surplus, only to have Bush and his Republican pirates blow it all in 2001 and 2003 on non-offset tax cuts.

Had the economy not been so healthy, Bush would not have been able to “justify” the tax cuts. He took credit for Clinton just like the bratty rich kid he is.

Remember, there were also rebate checks Bush handed out. All unpaid for, thus adding to the deficit. All the newfound GOP deficit hawks and Tea Baggers can suck it. They did not complain back then, but now all of a sudden, they have a fiscal responsible approach?

Bush pretty much took over a decent economy, handed as much money to his rich buddies and rich corporations, and left the rest of us footing the bill in massive deficits.

All the promises attached to these cuts NEVER came true. Denial can’t help us.

Why is their even a debate about extending these horrible tax cuts for the rich?
